Outdoor altar improvements completed
Recent improvements of spiritual elements at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Clearwater, Fla. are now complete with installation of a new marble altar, new crucifix and granite statues of the Evangelists, St. Luke, St. John, St. Mark and St. Matthew as the centerpiece of the clergy burial section. The new altar was consecrated at Mass by Bishop Robert N. Lynch on All Souls’ Day, November 2, 2016.
Other improvements that Father Ralph Argentino completed during his tenure as Director of Cemeteries for the Diocese of St. Petersburg included refurbishment of the Chapel of the Resurrection complete with stained glass windows, new furnishings and a three-tier chapel organ.
Twice each year on All Souls’ Day and Memorial Day Mass is celebrated on the outdoor altar and a Month’s Mind Mass is celebrated on the last Thursday of each month in the Chapel of the Resurrection.
